A lot of people have the goal of making their mark on the fashion world. However, I would bet most do not take the necessary steps to get where they want to be to allow this goal to become a reality. Fortunately, not only has this goal been a singular focus of mine but every move of I have made has been a calculated decision in order to gain the skills necessary to make such a mark.
In high school, I prided myself on having a well-rounded creative eye. Thus, I launched myself into clubs and experiences such as photo club, yearbook editor, social media manager, marketing director at a local theatre, and even student government to increase my persuasive and social abilities. I am currently a double major at Elon University focusing on Communication Design and Media Analytics. Additionally, I have taken courses at the Fashion Institute of Technology to gain real-world experience within fashion focused studies.
In addition to this educational experience, I have been able to gain invaluable real world experience during my time at Elon. I have been able to contribute to a local fashion magazine as a fashion focused writer and photo-shoot lead. I have also had the chance to work in a variety of industries with a creative flair, including interior design and media agency.
I hope an internship within the fashion industry will be another building block to help me reach my goal. I look forward to hear more about the opportunity presented and if my background and abilities would be a good fit for your team.
