I am currently a student at Elon University in Elon, NC, but I am a transplant to the south from northeastern Ohio. I grew up in a town of about 5,000 residents outside of Cleveland. I attended high school at Gilmour Academy, where I participated in activities such as Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Mock Trial, and Track and Field.

Since being at Elon I have had numerous opportunities to broaden my experience in my area of interest: communications. Through activities such as FreshTV, a in-depth introduction to communications program run exclusively for freshman, and PRSSA, Public Relations Student Society of America, I have had a chance to "get my feet wet" in the department. Additional student organizations such as Mock Trial have given me the chance to travel to places such as Louisville, KY and Richmond, VA, in order to compete against other schools.

I plan to graduate from Elon in 2011 with degrees in Corporate Communications and Psychology. With this education I hope to get a job in the fields of advertising, marketing, or public relations.
