Life Before Elon
Throughout my life, I have been to a variety of different schools that each taught me something different about myself. I am so fortunate to have had the educational experience that I have and the memories I have shared with all of my friends. Here is where I would like to tell you more about each school I have attended.

The Kent Place School
From Kindergarten to 8th grade, I attended The Kent Place School, which is a private all girls school in Summit, New Jersey. Both of my sisters came to this school the same year I did, which helped me immensely became adapted into a school environment. This school still remains so close to me, because of the teachers and friends that affected both my education and life immensely. From this school, I learned about creativity, and what it means to have teachers and an educational system that really supports you and reaches out to find the best in you. It is because of this school that I learned that I wanted to become a teacher. My second grade teacher truly influenced my life, with her love of teaching, and her positive attitude. I am so lucky to have been blessed with such good teachers and friends.
The Hotchkiss School

In high school, I attended a boarding school in Lakeville, Connecticut called The Hotchkiss School. My dad attended boarding school when he was younger, and because of his amazing experience, wanted to see what his children thought. My oldest sister, Sarah, visited the Hotchkiss campus, and fell in love with its beauty and rich history. My second oldest sister, Laura had the same experience. When it came time for me to go to High School, I was a bit skeptical about going to boarding school and living away from home, but I wanted nothing more to get out of an all girl's school. I applied to only Hotchkiss, and when I was accepted, I said yes not wanting to break the family tradition. Although my first couple of months were tough, it turns out that attending boarding school was the best thing that ever happened to me. While at Hotchkiss, I played both Field Hockey and Lacrosse, both of which I experienced some of the best times in my life. Without Hotchkiss, I don't think I would be who I am today. I still go back there and feel a sense of home. I have friends that will last forever, and teachers and advisors that I still hold dear in my heart.
